Inspection Manager FLX was created specifically for Fire Departments that are overwhelmed by the data entry and record management associated with mandatory building inspections. The system streamlines time management and offers a simplified solution for helping fire houses fulfill their overall critical goal of fire prevention. To use the system, fire inspectors simply designate specific checkpoints at all sites requiring inspections. Hand-held computers such as Palm Pilots or Pocket PCs are used to enter inspection data at the checkpoints. The data is uploaded from the devices to a PC database, and reports can then be generated to account for code-related or non code-related inspections. The system can also be used to document inspections on fire equipment requiring maintenance checks. In addition, the inspections are time-and-date stamped by the system, providing tamper-proof data about when the checks occurred. Inspection Manager FLX features the benefit of signature capture, a function that allows fire marshals to obtain a signature from building or restaurant owners acknowledging that they are aware of any violations that may have been recorded. The system also features field report printing, which provides the ability to print reports on the spot that outline recorded data.
